This is a great base recipe for so many different fat free biscuit options. You can jazz it up with herbs, spices, or dried fruit to make it the perfect accompaniment to any meal.
Ingredients:
2c All purpose flour
1Tbsp. baking powder
1 1/4c fat-fat Greek Yogurt
Preparation:
Measure 2 cups of flour into a bowl (be sure to check the fat content as it can vary between companies). Add the baking powder.
Add in approximately 1 1/4 cups fat free Greek Yogurt. Mix well. Add more if dough is too dry, or less if dough appears too wet.
Measure out 1/3 cup dough balls. Shape as you would like.
Bake at 375F for approximately 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
Variations: You can add any herbs, spices or dried fruit to this recipe. So many possibilities! Always add the dry ingredients together and mix before adding the wet. Examples: 1. 2 tbsp. Cinnamon and 4 tbsp. light brown sugar + more to lightly dust
