Fat Free Cinnamon Buns

Perfect for Christmas Morning! (This recipe was adapted from food.com)

Ingredients:

1 tbsp. yeast

1 cup 0% fat free skim milk, warmed

1/2 cup sugar

3 cups flour

2 large egg whites

1/2 cup brown sugar

2 tbsp. cinnamon


Preparation:

  1. Add yeast to warm milk along with 1.5 cups of flour. Mix together and set aside to let rise slightly - approximately 30 minutes.

  2. Add the remaining 1.5 cups of flour and knead well.

  3. Roll dough into rectangular shape.

  4. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon together

  5. Evenly spread 3/4 of brown sugar and cinnamon mixture over the dough.

  6. Roll tightly and cut into 1inch pieces.

  7. Place on parchment lined baking tray and dust with remaining brown sugar/cinnamon mixture.

  8. Bake at 375F for 20-25minutes

  9. Once slightly cooled drizzle with glaze

Glaze:

  1. 1 cup icing sugar

  2. 2 tbsp. skim milk

  3. Combine ingredients together. Add more icing sugar for a thicker glaze and more milk for a thinner glaze.
